Our night time care service covers 2 main areas:




Waking Night Care:


This is when a carer is required to sit with you throughout the night making sure that you care needs are met and that you are safe in your own home.This service is from 10 pm to 7 am and can be supported by the mobile night care team.


Sleeping Night Care


This is when you dependency is not so high but you need someone to stay in your home overnight for your peace of mind. This service is also between the hours of 10 pm to 7 am but will be regularly assessed to ensure your ongoing care needs are met.


Our night time services offer

  • Continence care
  • Fluid intake
  • Turning in bed to aid skin integrity and comfort during the night
  • Welfare checks - this reduces the risk of walking unaided during the night,                     especially for people with Dementia
  • Providing End of Life Care
  • Administration of medication.


All our members of staff have a mature outlook and have obtained a wealth of experience delivering care in the community.


They are supported by our out-of-hour's office and we have on-call telephone operators on duty throughout the night

Returning home from hospital


This is a service for people looking forward to going back home from hospital, whether you are elderly, frail with disabilities, have a  sensory impairment or at a stage of palliative care/end of life you will need a strong support care network.


We can be there to settle you back into your own home, making sure you have everything you need i.e turning the heating on, getting ready for bed, preparing a light meal, picking up shopping on the way back from hospital, and finally leaving you safe and comfortable. This service is unique and can be booked on the day of discharge.


Companionship


This is a new service that we offer during the day to be with you or a loved one who needs to have someone with them, when their family members have other commitments. This could be as little as 2 hours or up  to a couple of days a week.


About our care team


All our services are delivered by trained, experienced staff, who can work on their own or in pair depending on an individuals needs. We have training to an advanced level and therefore can support you with specialist care..


All staff members have gone through the process of interviews, our induction program, reference checks and enhanced DBS checks, before we make a recruitment decision.


Our aim is at the initial assessment is to skills and character match our carer's personal profiles to our clients 


Once all the above criteria is met and we have received satisfactory checks and references, our carers will go through a training period which involves Moving and Handing of people, Medication training, Health and Safety and Safeguarding.


All staff are monitored at regular intervals by a supervisor to make sure that we are keeping up the high standards that Vine House Care have set,


All staff undergo refresher courses as changing legislation, new procedures and techniques are updated.


All staff are encouraged to further their qualifications by undertaking a Health and Social care Diploma.


All of our staff are experienced and trained to diploma level and we are able to offer a truly professional caring  service built around our individual client's needs..
